Merideth Sallee, M.Ed., is a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), specializing in assessment services for school-age children, adolescents, and young adults. This includes psychological and psychoeducational evaluations. Merideth also provides therapy services to adolescents and young adults, as well as collateral family sessions. She also offers social skills groups for children and teens.

Merideth’s approach to therapy begins with developing a trusting therapeutic relationship and utilizing the client’s strengths and unique characteristics. She hopes to empower each client to step into their own story by assisting them in gaining insight and perspective. Her therapeutic process aims to help clients explore their relational dynamics, lived experiences, underlying narratives and beliefs. She approaches therapy from a psychodynamic and attachment perspective, while also taking trauma and diversity into account. Through collaboration, Merideth utilizes a variety of modalities depending on the client’s needs and engagement. This may include techniques from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), and mindfulness methods.

Through the process of psychological testing, Merideth aims to cultivate a better understanding of your needs and generate support for your strengths and challenges. Merideth leads social skills groups for children and teens throughout the year as well as week-long social skills day camps in the summer. These groups and camps cover many issues that help kids develop the skills needed to foster healthy relationships and to deal with the challenges of everyday life. Common areas of focus include self-control, anger management, gossiping, bullying, shyness, communication, and self-esteem.

Merideth was born and raised in Kentucky. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Kentucky, and she obtained her master’s in counseling psychology at the University of Louisville. Merideth trained in general community mental health where she worked with children, adolescents, and adults. She has extensive experience in the outpatient setting providing individual therapy, crisis therapy, and psychological testing. Merideth also worked as a high school counselor, and she has a unique perspective in aiding students not only clinically, but academically as well.

Outside of work, Merideth loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys hiking, reading, and traveling. She’s also passionate about astronomy and has a general love of learning. Merideth is a big fan of adventures; she loves trying new things and meeting new people.
