Before joining Wynns Family Psychology as a child therapist and child evaluation specialist in Cary, North Carolina, Dr. Greene received her Bachelor’s degree from The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Throughout her career, she has worked with a diverse population in a variety of different settings. As part of an NIH research study, Dr. Greene collaboratively developed positive behavior plans through in-home consultations with families of autistic children and kids with severe behavior problems. During her time as an outpatient mental health clinic therapist, Dr. Greene provided individual therapy services, psycho-educational group services, and psychological testing services for children and adults. Working in conjunction with parents, teachers, and administrators, Dr. Greene served as a school psychologist in public middle schools, providing individual and group therapy for students with varied emotional concerns, social issues, and behavior problems. She has led parent training groups for common social problems and developmental issues, including Bullying and Cyber-Bullying, Relationships and Friendships Among Adolescents, Parent and Child Communication, Understanding Your Middle School Student, Suicide, Self-Injury, and other psychological issues. Through her experience, Dr. Greene has developed a keen understanding of the public school system’s inner mechanics, and how it interacts with a child’s academic problems, psychological concerns, and emotional issues.

Influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Positive Behavior Support, and Client Centered therapies, Dr. Greene uses an integrative approach to therapy. She is dedicated to developing custom treatments and actively providing strength-based, solution-focused therapies. Dr. Greene holds a special interest in helping children and adolescents successfully deal with complex modern-day social issues and family stressors. A parent herself, she has a personal understanding and passionate interest in child development and fostering an environment in which children can thrive and improve their quality of life. Her expert child therapy services not only educate families, but help parents successfully raise today’s child via increased communication and fostering an atmosphere of respect. In addition to her role as a North Carolina Child Counselor for preschoolers, young kids, and adolescents, Dr. Greene also enjoys being a therapist for teenagers, adults, and families. Her goal is to ensure each client reaches his or her potential through a collaborative therapy process that promotes independent, adaptive behaviors and positive results.
