Dr. deSupinski earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, CA. She received her Bachelor’s in psychology from Wells College — Aurora, New York. Dr. deSupinski completed her dissertation in Pembroke, North Carolina, which focused on the aging and healing experiences of Lumbee Native American women. This and other research was presented at an international conference outside of Chicago, IL and in the LA area. Dr. deSupinski's training has involved administering testing, including learning difficulty assessments, and therapy services to children and families, which frequently revolved around foster care, home placement, and court issues. She has also provided social skills services and behavioral plans for children both at home and school. In addition to kids and families, Dr. deSupinski has experience working with younger and older adults with diverse backgrounds and in a variety of settings (urban, suburban, rural). Because of this training, she seeks to provide services that are sensitive to each child and family’s unique cultural environment—whether it involves ethnic background, family structure, religion, economic status, or geographical location.

When not engaged in the adventures of psychotherapy, Dr. deSupinski enjoys self-care activities such as immersing herself in nature (hiking, running, etc) and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. She also loves traveling to small, hidden towns in search of welcoming diners and intriguing stories, learning about new cultures, and watching travel shows. (Are you sensing a theme yet?) And then there's socializing with friends and family over tea and music and keeping her loveable Siamese cat out of trouble (i.e. off of kitchen counter tops).
