Social Skills Groups, DBT Groups & Summer Camps for Children in Cary NC & Raleigh

social skills group children north carolina Competent social skills (cooperation, sharing, listening, being respectful, etc) are critical to successfully interacting with others. Children who lack these skills can experience behavioral and emotional difficulties, trouble making friends, peer rejection, bullying, poor self-esteem, depression, concentration difficulties, academic failures, aggressiveness, and delinquency. Kids with social anxiety, learning disabilities, sensory integration difficulties, Asperger's Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, neurological disorders, and emotional disabilities often need extra help. Fortunately, social skills can be taught by trained professionals. And in a safe environment, these newly learned skills can be practiced and mastered.

Wynns Family Psychology offers targeted and effective Social Skills Groups for kids in every age group, from pre-schoolers to teenagers. Throughout the year, we offer Preschool / Kindergarten Social Skills Groups, Elementary School Children Social Skills Groups, Co-Ed Middle School Social Skills Groups, Girls Middle School Social Skills Groups, Boys Middle School Social Skills Groups, Teen / Adolescent Social Skills Groups, Teen Dialectical Behavior Therapy DBT Groups, Parenting Help Training Groups, and No Wimpy Parenting Groups for Moms. Social Skills Camp Testimonial
"I just wanted to say how amazed I've been with your social skills summer camp, and the immediate results I've seen in E. Really, I wasn't sure what to expect since we'd never done this type of class/camp before, but she's been super excited after each session. I've seen a real improvement in her manners, her ability to handle frustrating situations without losing her cool, and with accepting 'no' for an answer. With the dramatic improvement I've seen in her coping skills, I will do whatever it takes to keep her in social skills classes this fall. This is truly an investment that is showing immediate and drastic results!"
